@IPaduser75767 i agree with you our culture is fadeing away, theres only few native plants only 3% of them is left in the mountains, only maybe 4 -5 fishpond left on the islands, and no1 even seems to care…may b the kamehameha skew ppl, n a few others but thats still not much.

I live in Hawaii. What has been taken away from Hawaii is the true glory. The monarchs, the pristine islands, and the culture seems to fade away in these times but when you really rake the time to look around you can still make out those memories. Memories that will soon me long gone.

please don’t be so ignorant, have you ever read either the bible of the koran. Both are filled with hate and promote xenophobic views. Do you think that stoning adulterers to death is ok? cos if you don’t then you don’t want anything to do with almost any religion.

IZ- I hear you brah. Its 2010. Nobody has changed. The white man is still takin ova. and we still have not unified as a people, as a race. talk to HIM for us. ask Him to bring us together make us one. its the only way. Thank you for your music. May we use it to help us. I fear our race braddah IZ. I see your tears. may He see ours. “cry for the gods, cry for the people, cry for OUR land thats been taken away.” Mahalo nui loa.

@sodiumHaze thank you for your understanding. I’m sick of hearing people talking about how we should just shut up. but how can I? we’ve only been a state for 51 years. My father was alive while we were just a territory. We were illegally annexed, and I hope more people like you speak up because Hawaiians are definitely not the only ones.

  10. A10pilot617 says:

@slightlyretaded i love iz and your islands aswell…

  11. sodiumHaze says:

im not Hawaiian, i’ve never been to Hawaii. infact i live in New England on the East Coast. i see the disrespect for the natives here and all over the US every day. the Federal Government may have “apologized” to them, but they havent done anything more than a written statement. in Rhode Island, the Narragansette Tribe has yet to be reclassified as a native people. as such, they arent allowed they’re Chief or Medicine Man. how can a people exist under these conditions? i feel your pain.

  12. carmie329 says:

T.T lets take a moment to remember a hawaiian icon and the life and songs that he created (**sobbs**sobbs**)

  13. carmie329 says:

@xenitelis1 WAIPAHU MARUDERS!!!! and ur right! unless they know the pain that hawaiians have been through they could never understand. HAWAIIAN PRIDE!!!

  14. slightlyretaded says:

I love Iz and my islands.

  15. marvicsman says:

another beautiful song Israel is a modern hawaiian king letting his mana flow to all people, full of love. we will all have the islands back if not in this life then in the next and we will hear him sing again, aloha big bruddah iz

  16. ZombieShooter123 says:

Let’s all agree that Hawai’i is a beautiful place, one of the few places where peace can be attained. Now, let’s all step off who’s messing it up, who’s pushing who, and let’s all try and please respect each other, for God sakes, you call the Haoles barbarians? Listen to yourselves, wheres the love, the companionship?
We’re all human, all equal, whether white, black, native or foreign… and now STFU and listen to the God damn music!

  17. ZombieShooter123 says:

ok, i’d like to start by saying…
STFU!!! every freaking one of you! LIsten to the song, laugh, cry, do whatever it is you do, and then leave, don’t get into these random arguments over religion, gov’t, people group and sh*t like that. Seriously, ya’ll acting like a bunch of four year olds with stick up your asses.
    kid 1: He did it!
kid 2: no it was the haoles
kid 3; I blame religion, with the brainwashing and the sheep and blah blah blah.

Kamehamehas last words give the chills every time. Endless is the good that I have given you to enjoy. powerful stuff

  19. xenitelis1 says:

This makes me want to go home… I just moved from Oahu, and alot of people don’t understand this song. I mean, think about it! They did all these great things for our islands to belong to US, not the mainlanders! Just listen to the words… It makes total sense. I cried when I heard this song, just listen to the words.

    -A sad islander…KAILUA BABY!!!!

Gives me goosebumps EVERY SINGLE TIME! Especially when those drums start beating toward the end, and the building up of his voice. Simply amazing.

  23. DreadPages says:

@ajax4132 That is why I like to keep my relationship with God between and myself, spread the word but respect people’s right to choose their beliefs. I dislike it when people who don’t understand the Faith think using intelligent remarks will prove a point. Saying that there is a God and He enjoys seeing people hurt and be hurt only justifies that you believe in His existence…So what’s the deal?
